Two important Notes

Although recovery may work directly with a camera, a printer or a docking station, we strongly recommend that you use a standard USB card reader in all cases. Our short manual (March 2007) provides more details.

Data Recovery is not always possible. This is why we offer demo versions. Please try before you buy and take the time to read our see our "what you see is what you get warranty".

BETA Versions

Version 3.1.10.11860 offer a new feature: raw file thumbnail extraction. PhotoRescue usually avoids embedded thumbnails during its recoveries in order to provide an accurate picture of the state of the recoverable RAW data. However, current DSLRs embed large jpeg (or even RAW) thumbnails into their RAW files. Should the RAW data be unrecoverable, the embedded thumbnail can now be used to rescue the shot of a lifetime.

This thumbnail extraction capability is disabled by default and must be activated on the advanced recovery parameter screen. Please report any issue you might have with that feature to support@datarescue.com
